Serviced by Enterprise Rent a Car. Please follow signs to the rental car facility located in the main terminal building. The Alamo rental counter is located near the baggage claim area. Please proceed to the counter to collect vehicle keys and your rental agreement. No shuttle is required.
You can save time at the counter when you activate Accelerated Check-in online. Just provide your driver's license and contact information that are normally collected at pick-up and we will be ready when you arrive. You'll be on the road and on vacation before you know it!
Picking up your vehicle after the location closes is easy with Alamo. After-hours Pick-Up might require you to follow a few additional steps, which you'll see in your confirmation email.
Returning your vehicle after the location closes is easy with Alamo. We'll tell you where to park it; just drop the keys in the dropbox and you're on your way!
Skip the rental counter lines and check in directly by using Alamo's touch-screen kiosk. Check-in using the kiosk and a receipt-sized rental agreement is printed. You'll be directed to your hire car on the lot. At the exit booth, show the booth agent your rental agreement and driving licence—and simply drive away.
No need to visit the counter or kiosk. You can go straight to your car!
In order to take advantage of this optional free service, you'll need to activate Accelerated Check-In online then choose the "Skip the Counter" option. You will be required to confirm your protection options, agree to the Rental Agreement Terms & Conditions and enter valid credit card details (there will be no charge until you return your vehicle). Simply print your rental agreement to bring with you, and you are all set! Go directly to your car, show the booth agent your rental agreement and driving licence—and get on the road!
Rental conditions apply to all additional drivers. Additional fees are applicable for each added driver.
RETURN VEHICLE TO THE ENTERPRISE RETURNS PARKING GARAGE. LOCK THE VEHICLE AND PLACE KEYS IN THE KEY BOX LOCATED BY THE RENTAL COUNTER.
The minimum age requirement to rent all vehicles is 25 years old. There is no maximum rental age. Renters between the ages of 18 and 20 may rent all categories except Premium and Luxury. A young driver fee of 9.47 EUR per day applies to all renters between the ages of 18 and 20. Young drivers must have held their driving licence for a minimum of 1 year. Renters between the ages of 21 and 24 may rent all categories except Premium and Luxury. No additional fees apply to these young drivers.
Cross-border travel is allowed, but you must give this information at the counter at pick-up time.
CDW Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) limits the renter's financial responsibility for loss and damage to the rental vehicle. If not included in the reservation, CDW coverage is an optional protection product which is available for purchase.
If the rental agreement terms and conditions were not violated, the renter will be only responsible for the applicable excess:

This coverage excludes damage due to acts of vandalism, damage to the tyres, rims, windscreen, undercarriage or body of the vehicle, and any damage to the vehicle that is incurred by a collision or non-compliance with the highway code.

All rentals where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as pick-up will be subject to a one-way fee. Domestic and international one-way rentals are permitted to select locations and must be pre-booked or authorised at the time of pick-up. The one-way fee varies based on car category, location and pick up date. The exact amount of the one-way fee will be displayed during the reservation process when entering the dates, desired route and car category. Madeira is an exception: uni-directional drops are not possible in Madeira and vehicles rented on the island must be returned at the same pick-up location.
All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of petrol and vehicles must be returned in the same condition. Clients should leave a fuel deposit of 150.00 EUR. If the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank, in addition to petrol shortage an extra charge of 30.00 EUR for refueling service will apply.
PORTUGAL MAINLAND, MADEIRA AND AZORES - PAI Personal Accident Insurance covers the passengers and driver in the event of death or total permanent disability up to a maximum of EUR 15,000 and medical expenses up to a maximum of EUR 1500. The cost of PAI is EUR 5.57 excluding VAT per day for all groups up to a maximum of EUR 83.57 per rental.
Portugal – Mainland, Madeira and Azores
Accepted methods of payment: Visa Credit, Mastercard and American Express are accepted, as well as vouchers.
DEPOSITS: All customers are required to place a deposit taken in the form of a credit card authorisation. Deposits will be blocked on the credit card and the below amounts will apply:
Mini and Economy: 600 EUR
All other car classes: 1,000 EUR
If customers accept the Super CDW or Excess Reduction, the amount to be left is reduced by half (300 EUR for Mini and Economy, 500 EUR for the remaining groups). The deposit is made at the beginning of the rental for missing fuel, additional days, damages, services etc.
If, at the end of the rental, there is some amount to be charged relating to any of the mentioned items, this deposit will be used. In case the amount to be charged at the end of the rental is higher than the deposit amount, the driver is responsible for the differential amount.
Roadside Assistance TOP
TOP Travel Assistance allows you to have no towing costs or on-site assistance and exempts costs in case of:
1) Forgetting the key inside the vehicle;
2) Immobilization due to lack of fuel;
3) Help in case of a lack of battery;
4) Loss of vehicle key;
5) Immobilization of the vehicle;
6) Fuel change;
7) Travel assistance for punctured tire;
8) Accident with driver's responsibility
All services can only be requested through direct contact with Guerin. A service will be diagnosed so that the client can continue his trip. If any damage is caused to the rental vehicle that is not covered by the Road Protection service, the renter will be responsible for it.
Road protection is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (365 days)

THIRD PARTY INSURANCE:
PORTUGAL MAINLAND, MADEIRA AND AZORES: 50 Million EUR cover Alamo cars in accordance with the insurance certificate. The violation of the Alamo rental agreement terms and conditions or unreported accidents may void this insurance.
There are toll roads only in mainland Portugal. All vehicles are equipped with toll devices. The cost of using toll roads is not included in the rental.
The toll device allows you to drive through toll roads and SCUTs without stopping.
At the end of the car-rental period, you will be charged for the recorded movements and use of the service. This service is activated only when you drive through a SCUT and/or toll with the device, and you are only billed for the number of days you use the device.
There are two types of tolls in Portugal. Traditional motorway tolls and SCUTS. On SCUTS, tolls are simple arcs in the road that identify the vehicle as it passes and calculate the amount to be paid.
Due to the delay between the use of the toll road and us being informed about its use, you may see a charge on your account up to 4 weeks after your return date.
